Trophy Room

We don't just manufacture the world's finest, high performance hunting rifles - we use them. Ed Brown firearms have been used to successfully take game all over the world.

Ed Brown with the new world record Red Hartebeest. This monster measured over 28", and the diameter at one base was over 16", which is unheard of.
Renea Brown with her 24" + Red Hartebeest. Taken with Ed Brown Savanna in 30/06, 180 grain Accubond.
Travis Brown with 14"+ Springbuck.
Elk

John Thompson and I just returned from a successful Elk hunt in New Mexico with outfitter Ross Johnson. Hunting was rough due to the warm weather, but I ended up with this 340 2/8" bull.

Was the only bull killed out of three hunters on the 30,000 acre cattle ranch. Had to take him moving quickly at 522 yards across a canyon. Great to have Leica rangefinder binoculars.

Used my Savanna chambered in 300 Wby with a 4-16 Swarovski shooting a Nosler Accubond 180 grain bullet.

Travis and Renea Brown with 29" Waterbuck, taken at 255 yards on a windy day over the plains of Africa.
Black bear Look at the size of this monster! 7' 6" squared hide, and a 20 & 4/16" skull. Black Bears this size require extra power and reliability. That's why I chose our Bushveld rifle in 375 H&H. Bullet was a Swift A-Frame in 250 grain. Bear taken on northern Vancouver Island with Jim Shockey of Pacific Rim Outfitters.
Cape Buffalo 40" Cape Buffalo stalked for hours in dense bush in Mozambique. For dangerous game like this, you need the reliability and accuracy the Ed Brown Bushveld rifle provides. This Buff was flattened with a 375 H&H Magnum using the 300 grain Swift A-Frame.
Crocodile 15 foot Crocodile taken in Mozambique with Ed Brown Savanna rifle. Crocodiles require perfect shot placement for immediate kills. The Ed Brown Savanna rifle provides this accuracy. The time proven 375 H&H Magnum using a 300 grain Swift A-Frame bullet was used for this trophy.

Elephant taken with Ed Brown Bushveld.
Crocodile 15 foot 8" crocodile taken by Ed Brown Bushveld in 375. A 300 grain Swift A-Frame ended this monster's life. Confidence in your rifle, and pinpoint accuracy are required for croc hunting. These guys are hard to track in the water. Around the Caborra Basa lake, natives are frequently attacked and killed by these reptiles. Four locals had lost their lives in as many months this year.

Terry Romans moose Love the 300 Weatherby in your Savanna model, here is a moose I shot in B.C. last week. Thanks for the load data on the 300 with the Accubond bullet. Moose called in and shot at 35 yards, frontal chest shot. The Accubond took out the top half of the heart, one lung and continued on. This rifle will cut holes all day long at 100 yards, the last 5 shot group had all holes halfing each other. Love this rifle so much , I ordered one from you in a 340 Weatherby yesterday. Thanks for a great rifle!

Dianna Rupp with Dall Sheep I shot this old mountain warrior on Saturday evening in the Yukon (with Devilhole Outfitters/Prophet Muskwa) after eight days of tough hunting. He's at least eleven years old, battle-scarred and broomed. After six hours of climbing, we got above him for a 140-yard shot (straight down), which tipped him off a cliff into the rocky ravine in the photo, and my guide and I had an all-night ordeal getting him (and ourselves) off the mountain. It was an incredible, unforgettable experience.

I was shooting Nosler's 140-gr. Accubond--they group beautifully. It was a perfect rifle to carry on that hunt, too--nicely balanced and lightweight, and it proved pretty much indestructible.

Best,
Diana Rupp, Editor, Sports Afield
