Ed Brown Products proudly presents the limited-edition IPSC Edition 1911. We created this special pistol in partnership with the International Practical Shooting Confederation. The IPSC Edition celebrates competitive shooting and supports IPSC’s mission of safety, skill, and sportsmanship.

This model was available for a one-year production run from December 15, 2015 through December 31, 2016. In addition, a portion of every sale helped support IPSC programs around the world. IPSC continues to promote safe firearm handling and responsible competition.

The IPSC Edition is built on our popular Alpha Series platform. It features a 5" Government model slide and a single-stack Government frame chambered in .45 ACP. Based on the proven John Browning design, this pistol delivers excellent reliability, accuracy, and handling.

To improve control, the IPSC Edition includes Chainlink I treatment on the frontstrap and mainspring housing. The pistol also uses a black fixed rear sight and a green fiber optic front sight for fast target acquisition. In addition, the double diamond black G10 grips provide a secure and comfortable hold.

Our gunsmiths machine every major part from bar stock or forgings for strength and long service life. They also hand-fit each pistol for smooth operation and precise performance. Custom IPSC markings appear throughout the pistol, including the IPSC logo behind the cocking serrations, “40th Anniversary” under the ejection port, and “DVC” engraved on the barrel bushing.

The IPSC Edition is based on our popular Alpha series pistol, and features the following:
