The foundation of the Exhibition Series.
The Classic Custom is the Exhibition Series flagship and the foundation for Ed Brown’s higher-expression engraved configurations. The CC-SS starts with a full-size stainless-steel Government frame and slide in 45 ACP.
The slide flats are polished by hand to contrast with the matte glass-bead frame. A custom rib runs the length of the slide, while 50-LPI serrations at the rear align visually with the serrated adjustable sight.
A gold-bead front sight, 25-LPI checkering on the frontstrap and mainspring housing, smooth Cocobolo grips, two-piece guide rod, and single-side tactical-profile safety complete the configuration.
Choose the Classic Custom when the pistol’s finish, sight picture, and traditional presentation matter as much as the full-size 1911 foundation beneath them.

Contrasting stainless finish
The slide flats are polished by hand while the frame and remaining surfaces retain a matte glass-bead finish. The contrast defines the profile without applied decoration.
Custom sighting plane
The slide rib creates a matte runway toward the gold bead. Rear slide serrations match the deeply set adjustable sight to limit distracting reflection.
Traditional frame details
Twenty-five-LPI checkering, smooth Cocobolo grips, and a single-side safety keep the controls and gripping surfaces visually consistent with the classic presentation.
