The EVO-E9-LW keeps the 4-inch shortened and thinned slide of the steel-frame EVO-E9, then substitutes a lightweight aluminum frame and adds a Holosun SCS green-dot sight. The finished pistol weighs approximately 30 ounces with an unloaded magazine—about five ounces less than the all-steel EVO-E9.
A Chen Gen2 magwell adds a full 360-degree funnel without increasing the frame height. Twenty-five LPI checkering and Labyrinth grips provide the handling surfaces, while the 7-top slide and dedicated front and rear serrations preserve the visual identity of the E9.
The underlying operating details remain familiar: external extractor, bull barrel, flat-wire recoil spring system, easy-to-change front sight, and traditional 1911 controls.
