Pair of Aces.
Two consecutively numbered stainless 1911s—a 5-inch Government and a 4.25-inch Commander Bobtail®—joined by one hand-relief engraving pattern.
One engraving pattern. Two distinct 1911s.
Pair of Aces extends the Signature Edition treatment into a matched set. Both pistols are built from stainless steel, numbered consecutively, fitted by hand, and finished with full-coverage hand-relief engraving by master engraver James White.
The 5-inch Government model carries the full-size Classic Custom proportions and an adjustable rear sight. Its companion uses a 4.25-inch Commander slide, fixed rear sight, and Bobtail® frame. Both use a gold-bead front sight.
A custom rib defines the top of each slide. Fifty-LPI serrations finish the rear, while 25-LPI checkering covers the frontstrap and mainspring housing. Custom Cocobolo grips marked with the Pair of Aces motif complete the set.
Choose Pair of Aces when the relationship between the two pistols—their consecutive numbers, shared pattern, and different proportions—is the point.
Built as a set from the beginning.
Consecutive numbers
The Government and Commander Bobtail® models receive consecutive serial numbers, establishing the pair as one commissioned set.
Shared handwork
The full-relief scroll pattern crosses both slides, frames, controls, grip screws, and one matching magazine for each pistol.
Different proportions
The 5-inch Government and 4.25-inch Commander Bobtail® preserve distinct profiles while the engraving, finish, sights, and grips bind them visually.

The gallery separates the Government and Commander Bobtail® models so the shared engraving and different frame proportions can be compared directly.
