Ed regularly built a special serial number “first” finalized rifle for himself before introducing any new models through the company.

A version of the Savanna rifle that was never introduced, due to the pending sale of the rifle company back in 2013, was named the Savanna Survival Rifle (SSR). It was a M704 action with all the newest and latest parts, and the last Savanna ever made by Ed personally.

It has a 22″ Shilen #5 stainless barrel with 1-10 twist, iron sights, and McMillan woodland camo Savanna stock. Swarovski 4-12x AV scope with TDS-Plex reticle, mounted with Talley rings and quick detach (QD) levers.

This was a 100% finalized prototype for planned introduction and production, but due to the sale of the rifle company in 2013, this rifle was never introduced to the public, and no production was ever made. Truly a one-of-kind piece, as the last Savanna made by Ed Brown with all the newest and latest parts, for his personal collection.
