This factory conversion adds a fitted EVO 9mm upper to an eligible Ed Brown Commander 1911 while preserving the original .45 ACP components. When the work is complete, you retain both configurations rather than permanently converting the pistol to 9mm.
What the conversion includes
- Factory fitting of a 4-inch EVO 9mm upper.
- 7-top custom-cut slide with front and rear serrations.
- 4-inch 9mm bull barrel.
- External extractor.
- Guide rod with flat-wire recoil spring system.
- 9mm slide stop and ejector.
- Two Ed Brown 9mm magazines.
- Round-trip shipping and insurance.
- Refinishing of the pistol and original .45 ACP slide as required by the selected configuration.

Factory fitting is required
This is a factory conversion service, not a drop-in parts package. The complete pistol must come to Ed Brown so the 9mm upper and related components can be fitted, finished, and function-tested as a system.
Your original .45 ACP components are returned with the pistol, giving you an Ed Brown Commander that can be used in either its original .45 ACP configuration or the fitted 9mm configuration.
