Kobra Carry 25th Anniversary

Ed Brown Products celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Kobra Carry: the most popular, longest running, custom 1911 of all time. First released in the year 2000, the Kobra Carry was the first custom 1911 to include the Ed Brown Bobtail®, Ed Brown Snakeskin treatment, and to be available in all stainless.

They say imitation is the best form of flattery, and it shows, as Ed Brown's Kobra Carry has been mimicked in some form by just about every 1911 manufacturer in existence, large and small. Despite this, nothing comes close to the original, and the Kobra Carry continues to be our #1 best seller for 25 years in a row.

The Kobra Carry is now available as a dual caliber 1911! The 45 ACP upper is equipped with fixed sights and the 9mm is a complete EVO upper with a green dot sight. This setup offers perfect flexibility for carry and range time. The Bobtail® minimizes print when carrying and reduces weight. Snakeskin treatment on the frame is a directional pattern that offers just the right amount of grip. Includes everything you need to convert to 9mm – complete upper (slide, barrel, firing pin assembly, recoil assembly), slide stop, ejector and 9mm magazines.

Kobra Carry

The slide has been reduced to the minimum possible (4.25") without significantly impairing the legendary reliability of the 5" slide. The frame has been modified with the innovative Ed Brown Bobtail® housing which reduces the projecting butt of the mainspring housing without sacrificing the full size frame and magazine capacity. The Bobtail® minimizes the print under your jacket when carrying and reduces weight. The functional simplicity has yet to be matched. Unique with the Carry series pistols is the innovative snakeskin treatment. It is a directional pattern, meaning it is smooth to slide your hand up, but bites in for a snug grip the other way where you need it. It's easier on the hands than checkering, and those who handle it can't stop bragging about it. Not to mention it just looks cool!
