Description
The Ed Brown machined 1911 thumb safety is fully machined from steel bar stock, avoiding the warpage and porosity that can occur with cast parts. It is designed for 1911-style frames.
Shaped for shooting comfort
The lever is angled slightly to help keep the shooter’s thumb from contacting the slide. Its double-angle surface provides a natural resting position for the thumb.
Choose your lever profile
- Carry — 0.154 inch: The thinnest profile, intended for carry and concealment.
- Tactical — 0.167 inch: A medium-width profile commonly used on custom pistols.
- Match — 0.247 inch: The widest profile, intended for competition, left-hand stages, and a high-thumb shooting grip.
Each profile is available in blue or stainless finish.
