This kit includes our famous Perfection Hammer and mated Perfection Sear, disconnector, sear spring and Government mainspring.
896/897 Perfection Hammer
Completely machined from barstock, these hammers are guaranteed for life against breakage. Improved design with a beautiful chamfer machined all the way around the outside, and also inside the hole. Commander style spur, finely serrated for positive gripping surface. Sides are narrowed to eliminate drag on slide. Lowered strut pin hole reduces full-cock spring pressure. Hammer hooks precisely machined at 020-.022 perfectly square with sharp corners, ready for light, final stoning. Made from alloy steel or stainless steel, heat treated Rc 52-54. The perfect mate for this hammer is our #874 Perfection Sear.
874 Perfection Sear
Computer designed and fully machined from top quality bar stock for the perfect profile. Recommended as a perfect fit with our Hammer #896 and #897 for the best trigger pull possible with the least amount of hand labor – no jigs necessary. Hammer contact angle already prepped ready for your favorite clearance angle. Specs: A2 tool steel, heat treated to 50 Rc.
811-M Perfection Disconnector
Fully machined from bar stock steel, not cast. The only product of it’s kind. The strongest available, and heat-treated for long life and extreme service use. Machined surfaces are finely finished and dimensionally exact. Designed to work perfectly with our Perfection Sear and Hammer for precise trigger jobs every time. Will work with all 1911 pistols including the Hi-Capacity types.
822 Sear Spring
High-quality, tempered spring with extra length on the center leg that allows precise tuning of the disconnector. Helps prevent disconnector failure and gives positive sear engagement. Guaranteed for life against breakage.
816 19# Mainspring
Mainsprings wear out due to age and use and should be replaced every 3,000-5,000 rounds. We recommend this spring rather than the factory standard for a lighter, longer-lasting trigger pull. Plenty of power to set off even the hardest of primers.

This kit includes our famous Perfection Hammer and mated Perfection Sear. These are the exact same parts used in Ed Brown pistols by our world-class gunsmiths.

We have made it easy to send your 1911 in for work. Simply follow the 3 step process:
1. Add the shipping label to your cart and checkout. Before the close of the next business day, you will receive via email a FedEx 2nd Day Air shipping label. All shipping costs, insurance, and delivery information will be included on this label.
2. Pack up your firearm to prepare it for shipment. Ensure it is unloaded, and do not send any accessories not required for the work you want performed. The original shipping bag is best, second best is a generous amount of bubble wrap. Next place the firearm in a suitable sized box and tape it up well. Print the return label you received via email, and affix it to the outside of the box.
3. Drop off the package at any FedEx pickup location convenient to you, or call 1-800-GO-FEDEX to schedule a pick-up at your location. We will contact you after completing our evaluation, and before beginning any work. You should allow two weeks for service work to be performed.
